Translated from the local language, Setswana, Kwa Nokeng means ‘at the river’.  Apptly so, as we overlook the majestic Limpopo River with splendid views of indigenous trees, incredible bird-life and hippo’s loafing in the water.  You might even spot a crocodile basking in the sun.

Kwa Nokeng is conveniently situated on the Martins Drift Border or Groblersbrug, as it is known on the South African side, (GPS Co-ordinates: S22 59.998 E27 56.415)

We offer  a ‘one-stop-over’ for travellers to and from Botswana, in the form of accommodation, best priced fuel, a food court, a general grocery store as well as a foreign exchange. We now also stock ice-cubes using fresh water sourced from our own springs.

Accommodation options range from a spacious campsite with good amenities, to a number of self contained chalets and luxury tents with private facilities, as well as a safari tent option.

Kwa Nokeng Lodge is the perfect place for a relaxed ‘stop-over’ on your journey into the hinterland. Have a dip in the swimming pool to cool off and then share stories, make new friends with fellow travellers around the ‘mokoro’ bar and enjoy dinner under the huge Mashutu tree (Nyala Berry) before retiring for a well-deserved rest. Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the Lodge before departure.

In addition to being the best place to stop and “fill-up” (your car, your belly and your soul) we can also assist with all of your foreign exchange needs as well as providing assistance with your vehicle documentation.

The Kwa Nokeng family look forward to welcoming you …
